Our process

How an idea becomes research.

Follow one company’s research file as it faces our five checks, then gets rechecked every quarter. The detailed write-up follows below.

No narration, music only. Every line is on screen and in the captions, and the full explanation is written out below. The company and its file are an illustrative example, not a recommendation.

The CLEAR framework

Five filters.
Zero guesswork.

Every company we publish has passed all five. Here is what each one asks.

  1. 01 · Catalyst

Is there a real story here?

A big, lasting change the business can benefit from for 18–36 months, like India making its own electronics or building more power lines. If we can’t explain why in one sentence, we don’t invest.

  2. 02 · Level of entry

    Is the price sensible?

A great story at the wrong price is still a bad buy. We look for companies priced cheaper than they usually are over 3–5 years. No chasing prices, no fear of missing out.

  3. 03 · Earnings

    Are profits actually growing?

Sales growing over 15% a year, profit on each sale going up, and growth we can already see 6–18 months ahead. We want to be early, not first.

  4. 04 · Accountability

Can we trust the people running it?

Do they spend the company’s money wisely? Is their own money in it? Do they deal fairly and report honestly? Scored 0–10 on our checklist. Minimum 6.5. No exceptions.

  5. 05 · Risk–reward

Is the upside at least twice the downside?

Before buying, we weigh the story, the price and what could go wrong. A company only qualifies if the possible gain we estimate is at least twice the possible fall. A screen, not a forecast.
